Parlez-vous français?
… yeah, me neither. But my English is the yellow of the egg. Alright, that’s enough dad jokes for the day, but the core message stands: From today on, the entire Doppelkopf Club is available in English. I spent the last few days translating the entire website, tutorial and browser game and making it available in multiple languages — German and English.
Doppelkopf is a traditional German game and is packed with unwieldy terms, even for native German speakers. In the past I’ve met quite a few people who wanted to dive into the world of Doppelkopf who haven’t been native German speakers: People who are card-game enthusiasts and want to learn a new game. People who want to build a connection with their friends, in-laws or the German part of their family. Or simply people I’ve harassed long enough with all my talk about Doppelkopf so they finally caved and told me they’d want to learn the game.
Doppelkopf Club is here to inspire as many people as possible to learn and play Doppelkopf. Language barriers shouldn’t get in your way. Everyone who’s more comfortable speaking English than German can now enjoy the content of this site in English.
Viel Spaß!
